Aqara Matter Hub M3

The Aqara Matter Hub M3 is a cutting-edge smart home hub designed to seamlessly integrate a wide array of smart devices into a unified ecosystem. This multi-protocol hub acts as a Matter bridge, enabling compatibility with Aqara Zigbee and Thread devices, and allowing them to be controlled via Matter-compatible apps like Apple Home. With the capacity to support up to 127 Thread/Zigbee devices, the M3 Hub is ideal for creating an interconnected smart home environment. It also facilitates integration of select third-party devices into the Aqara Home app, expanding its utility and compatibility over time. On the connectivity front, the Aqara Matter Hub M3 excels with both wired and wireless options. It includes dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4/5 GHz) with enhanced WPA3 security and a Power over Ethernet (PoE) port for a stable connection. A USB-C port is also available, allowing for the connection of mini-UPS and power banks, which enhances the hub's reliability during power interruptions. The M3 Hub also features a 360° IR blaster capable of providing status feedback, turning ordinary IR air conditioners into smart thermostats when paired with an Aqara Temperature and Humidity Sensor. For installation and operation, the Aqara Matter Hub M3 is designed with privacy and ease of use in mind. It does not include microphones or cameras, emphasizing user privacy. The hub includes 8GB of end-to-end encrypted local storage for device and automation data, ensuring secure operation. It comes with a mount and screws for versatile placement options on flat surfaces, walls, or ceilings. The Magic Pair technology simplifies setup by allowing immediate detection by the Aqara Home app upon power-up. Note that a 2A USB power adapter is required but not included.
